Two gay icons, media star Mario Lopez and Sun News Miami editor Dr. Cliff Cunningham, kicked off Gay Pride in South Beach Miami on April 12. Thousands of people turned out in blistering heat and sun for a parade that lasted nearly 2 hours.

The event saw everything: gay couples who have been together more than 50 years to dogs, drag queens and muscle hunks dancing on floats. The body paint says it all. Here are a few candid shots.
